Delhi School EWS Admission 2026 Result: The Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi has announced the results of the first computerized draw for admissions through EWS, DG, and CWSN categories for the academic year 2026-27. The drawing took place at 10:00 AM. This is the beginning of the process of admitting students to private unaided recognized schools.After the announcement, guidelines are provided to facilitate the process of document verification and admission to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be informed about the verification centers through SMS on their registered mobile numbers.Documents will be verified by zonal teams.A total of 29 zonal teams have been formed in 15 districts under the supervision of District Deputy Directors Education. Each team consists of the concerned Zonal DDE, a Section Officer or equivalent personnel, and two Data Entry Operators. These teams are being trained on the provisions of the RTE Act and the process of document verification.The verification will be solely based on the information provided by the applicants in their online application form as well as the documents uploaded by them. A help desk/single window mechanism will be established at district offices for document verification.Mandatory Documents and Eligibility CriteriaApplicants need to upload documents related to date of birth, income certificate/BPL/AAY ration card for EWS, caste certificate for DG, disability certificate for CWSN, and residence proof. Income eligibility is limited to less than Rs. 5 lakh per annum.Proof of residence is limited to certain documents, including ration card, domicile certificate, voter ID card, utility bill or passport. No additional documents will be considered.A timeline has been set for confirmation and appeals.
The documents will be verified by the Zonal Authorities from 9th April to 22nd April 2026. Candidates who fail to report will be given a final chance between 23rd April to 28th April 2026. Appeals can be filed before the District Admission Monitoring Committee from 7th May to 12th May 2026, final decisions will be issued by 16th May 2026.Further drawdown and detailed compliance measuresVacancies arising out of rejection or non-reporting will be filled up later by drawing lots. Schools are required to admit recommended candidates without any additional screening. Non-compliance may invite action under the RTE Act, 2009 and the DSEAR Act, 1973.
