It looks like a major Marvel reunion is taking shape in “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 3, even though Season 2 is still airing on Disney+. New photos from the New York show Krysten Ritter, Mike Colterand Finn Jones together, pointing to the return of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, along with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. If the reunion does make it to the screen, it will be the first time the four Defenders have shared the screen again since 2017’s ‘The Defenders’.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Season 3 is filming in New York and that Colter and Jones were spotted on set with Ritter. The publication also said that studio representatives have been contacted for comment. Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones was already announced before the final episodes of Season 2, and the latest images add new weight to speculation that the entire Netflix-era street-level crew is reuniting.Before today’s streaming era, these characters had separate sets in New York, including ‘Daredevil’, ‘Jessica Jones’, ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Iron Fist’. They later teamed up in ‘The Defenders’. That chapter ended a few years ago, but ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has continuously opened the doors to these former characters.
Luke Cage and Iron Fist returns rumors grow
Colter could already sense that the return was getting closer. On the March 3 episode of the ‘Inside of You’ podcast, she said, “Now is the time.” He added: “I’ve had discussions with Marvel, and I think it’s very, very likely that I’ll come back at some point, but I don’t know when. But I think I will.”Jones also made it clear that he wants another chance to play Danny Rand. At an anime convention in March 2025, he said, “I’m very aware of the criticism of the character and my role in it.” He added: “My answer to that is, ‘Give me a chance, man.’ I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I’d love to see that happen.”There are still five episodes left in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2. That run will be followed by ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’, starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. A premiere date for Season 3 has not been announced.
