Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for ‘Dada’
Rao started preparing for the film almost 6 weeks ago. In a publication, the actor shared in February that he would lose a few extra pounds to become an athlete. He wrote in a post, “And now it’s the transition phase and time to shed these extra kgs and get ready to get into Ganguly mode. Our Dada I will always work my hardest to engage you, entertain you through my work. Lots of love.”Director-choreographer Farah Khan took to the comments section and wrote, “All best raaajjjjj.”

The makers are yet to share the official plot of the film, ‘Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story’ is expected to cover his cricketing career, his captaincy era and his role in shaping modern Indian cricket.Ganguly, who played for the Indian cricket team from 1992 to 2008, scored 18,575 runs in Tests and ODIs and has 38 centuries.In an interview to PTI in July 2025, Ganguly says that it is the right choice to portray Rao in the film. He said, “I think he’s doing the right thing… I’ll help him in everything.”
