CUET UG 2026: National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG 2026). This notice is issued today 7th April 2026 regarding matching of photographs submitted with identity proof documents.
Image mismatch detected in some applications.
The NTA has said that after reviewing the application data, it has been found that some candidates who used identity documents other than Aadhaar card do not match their photographs. In such cases, the live photographs taken during the application process did not match the photographs available in the records of the Unique Identification Authority of India.To address this issue, NTA has provided an opportunity to the affected candidates to verify their identity. These candidates have to upload signed and attested certificate with recent photograph. The photograph should be attested by the Principal or Headmaster of the candidate’s school or college.
Alternative authentication options
If the candidates are unable to obtain confirmation from their institution, they can also submit confirmation from Gazetted Officer, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) or Member of Parliament (MP).
Last date for submission of documents
Correction facility will be available from 7 April 2026 to 10 April 2026, up to 10:00 PM. Candidates have to complete the process within the given last date. The certificate should be uploaded as a PDF file through the official correction link provided by NTA, according to the official notification issued today.Candidates are advised to complete the verification process carefully to avoid any issues during the examination. CUET UG 2026 Exam Schedule
CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted from May 13 to May 31, 2026. The online application process was earlier conducted from January 2 to February 4, 2026, and the correction window was available from February 23 to February 26, 2026.
