Delhi Education Department has conducted Delhi CMSRI School Entrance Test 2026 on 13th April 2026. The entrance examination for admission to classes 6 and 9 for the academic session 2026-27 was conducted in 75 designated schools of the national capital.According to the Directorate of Education Delhi, the exam was conducted from 11:30 am to 2 pm. The entrance test was conducted in 75 CM SHRI schools, including 18 girls’ schools, five boys’ schools, and 52 co-educational schools.Delhi CMSRI School Entrance Test 2026 Result DateCandidates who appeared for the Class 6 and 9 entrance exam can expect the result to be declared by 30 April 2026.The entrance test for class 11 will be conducted on 7th May 2026 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Class 11 results will be declared by 25 May 2026. Class 11 admit cards will be released on May 1 through the official Edodil portal.

Next step after result

After the declaration of the result, the admission process will move towards preparation of merit list and allocation of schools.For Shaheed Bhagat Singh CMSHRI School, candidates will also have to appear for the second round which includes physical and medical fitness test. Final selection will be done on the basis of performance in both the rounds.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the guidelines, only students who are residents of Delhi and have studied in recognized schools in the capital during the 2025-26 academic session are eligible to apply.

  • Class 6: Students who have passed Class V
  • Class 9: Students who have passed class VIII
  • Class 11: Students who have passed 10th standard

At least 50% of the seats are reserved for students from government-run schools, including DoE, MCD, NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and government-aided schools in Delhi.The minimum qualifying marks for merit list is 25% for general category candidates. Reserved category candidates will get 5% relaxation.

How will entries be finalized?

Admission will be done differently for each class:

  • Class 6: School Allotment Based on Preference and Cutoff
  • Class 9: Allotment based on common merit list and score, category and preference
  • Class 11: Candidates have to choose three school preferences and stream options.

Class 11 stream options include STEM-focused courses, finance, humanities, and performing and visual arts.Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for updates regarding the results and further admission procedures.
