After releasing his first major asset, ‘Rama’ look, in Los Angeles and New York, producer Namit Malhotra and starrer Yash are said to be heading to CinemaCon 2026 with their magnum opus.Ramayana: Part 1′. The event, which runs from April 13-16 in Las Vegas, featured posters, including a large banner-style display in the center of the venue, detailed close-ups and intricately designed high-resolution artwork of Kapoor’s Rama and Yash’s Ravana characters. The sign, titled Enter the World of Ramayana, featured a caption: “CinemaCon delegates are invited to experience one of the most ambitious theatrical productions in post-production and set for its world premiere this year – Ramayana, a sprawling mythological epic shot for IMAX and designed as a global marquee event. Based on a 5,000-year-old myth that continues to shape culture across continents, Ramayana is being crafted as a cinematic spectacle for modern audiences – combining large-format cinematography, state-of-the-art visual effects from 8-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio DNEG, and an unprecedented musical collaboration between Hans Zimmer and AR. Rahman. During CinemaCon, the Ramayana team will host private previews and open house interviews at the Milano III Ballroom, offering a first look at the film’s scale, vision and global release strategy. DNEG CEO, producer and creative visionary behind the Ramayana franchise, Namit Malhotra, Yash film star and executive producer and members of the executive team at Prime Focus Studios will be available throughout the week to engage with partners interested in the film’s journey. Apart from Hollywood heavyweights like ‘Ramayana’, Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, sci-fi film Dune: Part Three will also mark the event as the director and star cast will take the big stage to promote their films. ‘Ramayana’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari is slated for a Diwali 2026 release.
