Personnel Department, Chandigarh Administration has invited online applications for the recruitment of Clerk and Stenotypist (English) posts under Group ‘C’ Cadre. According to the official notification, a total of 257 posts will be filled on permanent basis through this campaign. Vacancy details for the posts of Clerk and Stenotypist
The recruitment drive is mostly focused on Clerk posts, 234 vacancies have been announced for Clerk posts. The category wise distribution is as follows:
- Unsafe (UR): 115 posts
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 36 posts
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 68 posts
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 15 posts
Additionally, 23 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and 24 posts for Benchmark Disabled (PwBD) in the Clerk category. The PwBD quota includes sub-categories such as visually impaired (7), hearing impaired (7), orthopedically disabled (2), and other disabilities (8).Meanwhile, a total of 23 vacancies have been announced for the posts of Stenotypist (English). The distribution is as follows:
- Water: 12 posts
- SC: 4 posts
- OBC: 6 posts
- EWS: 1 post
Out of these 2 posts are reserved for ex-servicemen, while 4 posts are reserved for PwBD candidates, including visually impaired (2), hearing impaired (1) and other disabled (1).
