The child’s name has not yet been released. The news comes a couple of weeks after the 29-year-old actress skipped the 2026 Oscars as she prepared to welcome her baby.

On Thursday, April 2, Steinfeld announced on Substack that she and her husband, Josh Allen, welcomed their first child, a daughter. “Our baby girl has arrived!!,” she shared in a post signed by her and Allen. “We feel incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
The couple announced the pregnancy in December
The actress and NFL player announced in December that they were expecting their first child. In an Instagram video, Steinfeld showed off her baby bump wearing a T-shirt that said “Mommy,” along with the Buffalo Bills quarterback as they posed together outside in the snow.
