Total Matric Result Boys vs Girls 2026: BSEB Class 10 Result 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) today declared the Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026 on Sunday. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 students is 81.79 percent. The results were announced at an official press conference in the presence of Education Minister Sunil Kumar and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore.In the BSEB Class 10 Results 2026, Samtilala Awasya Vidyalaya, Pushpanjali Kumari of Jamui and Subrin Parveen of Vaishali topped the results by securing 492 marks (98.4 per cent) combined. In the overall results, out of the total number of successful students, 6,34,353 were girls while 6,01,390 were boys. The high number of female students who succeeded in the examination is a proof of their consistent performance over the years.Along with their performance in the overall results, girls have also emerged as top performers. Mixed trends across segmentsAlthough the boys scored higher in the first division category, the girls performed well in the second and third divisions. A total of 2,50,500 girls secured second division as against 2,25,011 boys. Similarly, 1,67,427 girls secured third division as against 1,35,676 boys.This shows that although boys had a slight edge in the first division, girls had a greater edge in terms of success rate.The list of toppers shows a gender trend.The merit list once again proves the supremacy of girls. Out of 139 students in the top 10 ranks, 57 are girls. The interesting fact is that there are more than one girl in the top five ranks which shows their academic presence in the top ranks.Consistent performance over the yearsThe board’s pass percentage this year has been 81.79 percent, which is slightly lower than 2025’s 82.11 percent. The timely declaration of results within March is also a reflection of the board’s efficiency in evaluation and result processing.Narrowing differences, increasing competitionBihar Board Class 10 Results 2026 also shows a competitive academic environment, where girls continue to perform better than boys. Although boys performed better in achieving first division marks, girls performed consistently across all divisions. This is a major step in the educational history of the state.
