BARC OCES/DGFS, DDFS 2026 CBT: Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) is conducting Computer Based Test (CBT) under OCES/DGFS-2026 Recruitment Program and DDFS-2026 Doctoral Academic Program in Atomic Energy (DAE). The online exam is scheduled on March 14 and March 15, 2026.Applicants who have already registered for the courses should download their admit cards from the official website of the online application portal to appear in the exam. The CBT process works as a common selection process for the two courses, and applicants should check the admit card details and follow the guidelines provided by BARC for the exam.OCES/DGFS Recruitment Program for Scientific OfficersThe OCES-2026 program is a recruitment drive for the posts of Scientific Officers in the Department of Atomic Energy. Selected candidates will undergo a one-year orientation course for engineering graduates and science post-graduates for the academic year 2026-2027 at BARC training schools.After completing the orientation course, candidates are considered for appointment as Scientific Officers in DAE units. The program provides specialized training for technical and research roles in the department.Some candidates selected for OCES may also be offered two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates (DGFS-2026). Under this scheme those engineering graduates who perform well in selection interviews and get admission in M.Tech. Courses offered at participating institutions can be pursued in their higher education while still affiliated with the Department of Nuclear Energy.The fellowship enables candidates to pursue M.Tech. In DGFS institutes including IIT Bombay and IIT Madras. During the program, candidates receive stipend and tuition fee assistance.DDFS Doctoral Academic ProgramThe DDFS-2026 program is a doctoral education scheme for engineering postgraduates seeking admission to the DAE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme. Selected candidates will undertake PhD research under the aegis of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed university.Scholars admitted through the fellowship will join one of HBNI’s institutes, including BARC Mumbai, IGCAR Kalpakkam, IPR Gandhinagar and VECC Kolkata.Exam and Selection TimelineAs per the schedule, candidates appearing for CBT can upload their CGPA score between 26th March to 2nd April 2026 for the 2nd semester for those coming in the academic year 2024-25.The list of shortlisted candidates for the selection interview will be displayed on the online application portal in the second week of April 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be able to select their interview slots through the portal between 17th April to 24th April 2026.The selection interviews are scheduled to be held from June 16 to June 18, 2026. The list of selected applicants for the DDFS program will be announced on the online application portal in the last week of June 2026.Selected candidates will undergo the medical test on 18 July 2026, and the DDFS training program is scheduled to start in the third week of July 2026.
