As the industry mourns the loss of a legendary singer Asha Bhosle, Salman Khan expressed his sadness, saying that it is a huge loss for Indian music.Taking to social media, Salman wrote, “Big loss for Indian music…. Heart broken to hear about Asha ji. An irreplaceable voice, your songs will continue to inspire generations.“Aamir Khan he also paid tribute, describing his death as a moment of collective loss.“For the whole industry, for the whole country, for the whole world. I’m a big fan of his. And this is a very sad thing, a big loss. It’s the end of an era,” Aamir told reporters in Shirdi.Reflecting on his legacy, he added, “The four great singers – Lata (Mangeshkar) didi, (Mohd) Rafi saab, Kishor (Kumar) da and Asha Ji. So it’s the end of an era, I feel. And it’s a very sad day for everyone.”He also said: “My condolences to the country, to all our fans, to his family, to everyone. We are all his family. We pray that his soul rest in peace.”
Last rites in Mumbai
Asha Bhosle died on Sunday at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure. Breach Candy was admitted to the Hospital with a chest infection and exhaustion. According to the family, his mortal remains will be kept for public tribute at Casa Grande, Lower Parel at 11 am, with last rites arranged at Shivaji Park later in the day.
