Anil Kapoor he recently revealed that he had to turn down a cameo in Dhurandhar 2 despite the director approaching him Aditya Dhar. The actress said she turned down the role as she had already committed her dates to another filmmaker.
‘I said I’d love to do it’
“Yes, Aditya he came to me he wanted me to do a small cameo in Dhurandhar 2nd film. But the reason I am who I am today is because of my professionalism and my commitment. That’s very important – talent alone cannot make you who you are,” Kapoor told India Today while explaining why she couldn’t land the role.The actor added that he did not want to cancel a prior engagement, although he was interested in the cameo. “At that time, I had already committed those dates to another filmmaker. I told Aditya, ‘I’d love to do this cameo, but I’m already committed.’ The movie is releasing now, and it’s a wonderful movie. It’s my loss, but it’s okay,” he said.
“It would be unprofessional to cancel someone’s dates”
Kapoor also expressed hope of collaborating with Dhar in the future, stressing that maintaining professional commitments is essential in filmmaking. “At least I know in my head that it can happen to him too, it could be another filmmaker who has just given a big blockbuster and offers me something when I am already committed to Aditya. Then if I do that film and cancel his dates, that would be totally unprofessional. So yes, he offered me the role, and we hope to work together in the future,” he added.
At the end of the interview, when asked if he would consider appearing in a possible third installment, Kapoor expressed his preference for something else. “I think I will do something new.
