According to recent reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin has closed the case and dropped criminal charges against the actress. “After reviewing the available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities have determined that no criminal charges will be filed. Mr. Ritchson’s actions were viewed as self-defense,” Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter.

Authorities also confirmed that Ritchson declined to press charges against Taylor. He added, “While a possible endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken.”
