All the love, appreciation and memes of the movie ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have left the filmmaker Aditya Dhar feeling quite ‘stressed’. Amid glowing reviews and box office triumphs, the director, in an emotional speech, thanked his fans, his cast and the people who stood by him for bringing his vision to life. Speaking at a private screening attended by his wife, Yami Gautam, cast members starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and members of the production team, Dhar said he was particularly moved by the audience noticing the “peak detail” of the film.

In a video shared by Rakesh, director Dhar said, “Thank you to those of you who believed in me, starting with Jyoti Deshpande, and of course my HOD, my actors, actresses and everyone who gave their heart and soul to the film.”

He added: “I’m overwhelmed by all the responses and even the memes I’ve received. But I really want to thank everyone for being here, supporting me and being a part of this journey. This wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you so much.”In the video, Dhar’s wife, actress Yami Gautam, could be seen smiling proudly while wiping away tears.

Meanwhile, co-stars Ranveer and Arjun Rampal were present, and Singh teased the director during their interaction. When asked to come down with the director, the actor remained respectfully at the back of the cinema, next to his seat, while making playful comments.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ started with a bang at the box office. The film got off to a record breaking start by earning over 50 crores from the preview shows, although they had to be canceled due to technical difficulties. On March 19, the official worldwide release date, the film became the first Bollywood film to earn over 100 crores in a single day. The film festival showed no signs of slowing down, and the film has now crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in two days of its release in theaters worldwide.
