whenever Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepping onto the red carpet, all eyes are inevitably on her. And if you ask Abhishek Bachchanwalking next to him adds to the pressure. In a recent interview with Lilly Singh, Abhish didn’t hold back while describing his discomfort at high-profile appearances.“Have you seen my wife? Have you ever seen her on a red carpet? The scariest thing for me is going on the red carpet, period. And if I have to do it with her, it’s scary,” he admitted.Describing herself as awkward in such situations, “they’re all professionals, they’re very good at it. I’m like a block of wood. I don’t know what to do. Should I keep my hands in my pockets? I’m so awkward. So they always end up saying, ‘One more smile, please’.”The actress also recalled a moment when she turned her nervousness into an unintentionally serious expression, leaving the photographer confused.“Sir, humne kya galti ki hai? Aap itne naraaz kyun dikh rahe hain?” they asked him.“And, sorry,” Abhish chuckled, reflecting on the incident.
“We believe in showing, not telling”
In the same interaction, Abhish briefly spoke about how he and Aishwarya approach home life with an emphasis on leading by example more than anything else.“In my house, as parents, we both try to be the best example instead of telling what’s right and wrong. We believe in being ourselves and showing what we should do,” she shared. He also added: “It’s just about leading a good and responsible life with your values and morals. Your children see that, they imitate that, and in that way you’ve provided them. So there’s no competition in the house about who should be the man or who should be the woman.”Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2007 and have shared the screen in films like Guru, Dhoom 2 and Raavan, among others.
