In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Sachin shared, “Remembering Ashatai, he was a tremendous talent, blessed, yet down to earth. As a child, I met him for the first time when I was with my mother on a recording session. I met Ashatai very fondly, and later I came to know that my mother used to participate in song recordings with him.“
“Later, I had the privilege of singing for my films. I never knew that I would get to sing with her at her concerts in India and abroad. She always treated me like her son, and I called her my second mother. We shared so many moments together. Asha Bhosle breathed her last on April 12, 2026 at the age of 92 due to multi-organ failure. He was cremated with statewide honors.
