RRB Announces CBT Schedule for NTPC Undergraduate Posts, Aadhaar Verification Mandatory for Admission Process

Ministry of Railways has issued a notification outlining the provisional schedule of Computer Based Test (CBT-1) under CEN 07/2025 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Undergraduate). The recruitment process will be done through Railway Recruitment Boards at various centres.According to the notification, the CBT-1 examination for undergraduate level posts will be conducted in multiple phases during May and June. This exam is part of the ongoing recruitment drive for various non-technical posts within the Indian Railways.Access to exam dates and city detailsThe schedule states that CBT-1 will be held on May 07, 08 and 09, followed by additional dates on June 13, 14 and June 16 to June 21. Candidates will be able to check their allotted exam city and date through a link which will be activated 10 days before their respective exam dates.The same portal will also allow eligible SC and ST candidates to download their travel authority documents. The Railway Recruitment Boards have said that this information will be available only through official websites.Call letter and admission requirementsThe e-call letters for the examination will be issued four days prior to the candidate’s scheduled examination date. Candidates should download and carry the call letter along with valid identity documents to get admission in the examination center.Biometric authentication linked to Aadhaar will be done at the test venue before candidates are allowed to enter the examination hall. Individuals need to carry a printout of their original Aadhaar card or e-verified Aadhaar document.Aadhaar compliance and verification processCandidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details are correct and updated. It includes correct name, date of birth as per class 10 certificate, latest photograph, address and father’s name. Officials have also instructed candidates to keep their Aadhaar status unlocked in the UIDAI system on the day of the exam.Even those who have completed the Aadhaar verification during the application process have been asked to recheck their status to avoid delays during the admission and registration procedure at the exam center.Advisory against misinformationThe Railway Recruitment Boards have warned the candidates to solely rely on the official websites for updates regarding the recruitment process. The notice also warns against fraudulent agents or touts promising jobs in exchange for money.Officials reiterated that the selection process is strictly based on computer-based test, no alternative method of recruitment is being followed.
