The ‘Insidious’ franchise is back, and this time it’s brought something new to the table. The sixth installment of the beloved horror series has officially been given its title, and the first trailer will be released very soon. For fans who have been following the franchise since its debut, the wait is almost over.According to ComingSoon.net, at a public event in Los Angeles, the marketing team behind the film took a very creative approach to reveal the title. A group of performers dressed in white and red clothes and smeared face makeup split into different sub-groups and connected in different styles to mimic the shapes of the letters representing the film’s new name. Along with the reveal, the first official trailer was confirmed to be released the following day, Monday. The film was previously titled ‘Insidious: The Bleeding World’. Its new official title is ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’.
What is ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ about?
The official synopsis reads: “A trio of stalkers infiltrate a quiet neighborhood and force a new family into the astral plane, where they discover a terrifying truth: Further is bleeding into the real world.” The film is slated for a US release on August 21, 2026, previously bumped from its original release slot of August 29, 2025.First filming announced in May 2024 is said to have started in late September 2025. Writer and director Jacob Chase confirmed via Instagram that production wrapped in November 2025.

Is this the last ‘Insidious’ movie?
Rumors initially suggested that “Insidious: Out of the Further” would be the final entry in the franchise. Shay, however, quickly shut down those claims in a Facebook post. He stated, “FALSE INFORMATION THIS INSIDU IS ‘MY LAST MOVIE’ AND/OR ‘THE LAST MOVIE IN THE FRANCHISE!… FAKE NEWS… WE BEGIN!”‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ will be released on August 21, 2026 in the US.
