Sharing her experience, the legendary playback singer revealed that she was asked to change her voice at the last minute while singing ‘Khatouba’.He gave some context and added, “Music director ne kaha ki yeh gana…ladki ko aise karna hai, waise karna hai, log usko pakad rahe hai…tum dar gai ho…toh gaane me (gasp) aise karna pada” (The music director told me that in the song the girl goes back and forth and I should take the son).He then had to restructure the entire song, which worried the director, who shared that he was worried about how he would sing the word ‘Khatouba’. Bhosle said he had to think a lot during that time, after which he was inspired by how songs were sung and performed in Middle Eastern countries. He then belted out the lyrics to the song, surprising everyone on set. He hilariously added that the original version was like Marathi Lavani music, making everyone laugh with his comment.
