‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Pays Tribute to Eric Dane
At the beginning of the season three premiere, there was a memory card with a picture of Eric, who died on February 19th after battling ALS. Eric, who played Cal Jacobs, Jacob Elordi’s character, Nate Jacob’s father in the series, was still able to film for the new season and appeared briefly in the season trailer.Based on his trailer appearance, it looks like Eric will appear in one of Cassie and Nate’s wedding scenes and interact with Hunter Schafer as Jules, a character he had a one night stand with in the past.

After the credits at the end of the episode, the screen also showed an ‘In Memoriam’ of Eric, Angus Cloud and executive producer Kevin Turen, who passed away in 2023.
Angus Cloud’s character, Fezco, is still a part of the story
Although Angus himself is not part of the show, his character, Fezco, is still there in the new season. In the Season 3 premiere, it’s revealed that Fezco, aka Fez, played by Cloud, is serving a decade-long prison sentence before his tragic overdose in 2023.In the episode that aired on Sunday, Rue (Zendaya) tries to call her friend Lexi (Maude Apatow) at the jail. Lexi, who had a new romance with the suave drug dealer in Season 2, admits she “feels guilty” about not talking to him, but insists she’s been busy. “I miss you,” Rue tells her, making sure to mention it several times. Lexi, who currently works on a show in Hollywood, says, “I don’t know, my hours and his hours don’t really line up, so it’s hard.Rue replies, “Pick up the phone and call! Not that it’s going anywhere.
