The song, protagonist Ananya Panday and Lakshyait was originally scheduled to drop on April 13, the same day as Asha Bhosle’s last rites in Mumbai.

The production house announced the delay soon after the news of Asha Bhosle’s death, citing the timing of her funeral as the main reason. Rather than follow through with a promotional release on a day of national mourning for one of India’s greatest musical voices, Dharma chose to step back as a mark of respect.
In an official statement, the production house said, “In honor of a legacy that has shaped generations and with deep respect for the passing of the legendary Asha Bhosle, we are bringing forward the release of the song titled Chand Mera Dil by one day. This decision has been taken as a mark of heartfelt respect and remembrance for Asha Bhosle, whose enduring influence on music continues to inspire generations.”
Asha Bhosle is dead
Asha Bhosle died at the age of 92 after being admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to heart and respiratory complications. Reports say that he had not been in good health for several months before. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and transferred to the intensive care unit on Saturday night before he died on Sunday evening. Directed by Vivek Soni, the film stars Lakshya and Ananya Panday in lead roles. They will be seen as engineering college students in the film. It will be released in theaters on May 22, 2026. It will clash at the box office with Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Raja Shivaji’.
