Olivia Munn is sharing her journey through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The actor recently shared how cancer survivor Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, indirectly helped her feel she is not alone in her cancer treatment. Munn recently spoke to People about Season 2 of ‘Your Friends & Neighbors.’ During the interview, the actress, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023, said that many cancer survivors face several challenges after the initial treatment.
When Olivia Munn felt she was alone
Implicating that there are so many medications for certain people during treatment, the actress stated that the medications took a toll on her body and caused side effects. Munn continued, “I think I was hard on myself because I would ask other friends who were on the same treatment plan as me if they had any of my symptoms, and no one did. No one said they had fatigue or mood swings or body aches. I thought, ‘I’m the only one who gets it.'”‘”

However, Munn said she recently heard the 44-year-old Princess of Wales’ friend, a cancer survivor, say something that helped and resonated with her.“Kate Middleton talked about this recently, and she said it very briefly (and) it really touched me and gave me such a sense of peace that I finally had the words behind me,” Munn said.

“He said, ‘You think the big things are the things you have to worry about,’ and I’m paraphrasing, ‘But after you’ve been through the big things, it’s the treatment that’s really hard and tough on you.’ And I said, ‘Oh, somebody else feels that.'” She added: “That’s where it feels so good… when you hear other people’s experiences because it’s true; you feel so much better when you know you’re not alone.”“Violet” star Olivia Munn was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in April 2023.
