Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle Breach Candy has reportedly been admitted to the Hospital following a cardiac arrest which has sparked concern among fans and the music fraternity. The 92-year-old singer was taken to the hospital on April 11 and is receiving treatment in the emergency unit.In between the health update, let’s see when the veteran shared a funny incident related to his experience while shooting ‘Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera’.

Asha Bhosle once revealed during an appearance on Indian Idol that the song was challenging and required intense preparation. “This song Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera was quite difficult for me to sing. One day, RD Burman saab came home, took his instrument and asked me to try it personally. When I heard him perform the ‘O aa jaa, aah aah’ part, I was a bit in awe and wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. However, after training for four or five days, I told him I would try,” he shared.
Fun time to practice the car
Asha Bhosle’s dedication to mastering the song led to an amusing incident during her practice sessions.He revealed how he constantly rehearses, even while traveling in his car. “I practiced the main tune so hard in my car that one day, my driver got worried. When we got to Haji Ali, where I live, he suddenly asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital because he thought I was struggling to breathe. It was quite a funny moment.”Before recording the song, Asha Bhosle sought reassurance from her sister Lata Mangeshkar and her words gave Asha the confidence to face the challenge.“The moment I reached home, I went to my sister Lata Mangeshka and conveyed my fears to her by singing the song, ‘You are forgetting that you are a Mangeshkar first and then a Bhosle.’ Go sing the song, you will do well’.

India Today reports that Asha Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest and received immediate medical attention.As reported, Dr. Pratit Samdani confirmed that he is currently being treated at the Emergency Medical Services unit. Meanwhile, his grandson Zanai Bhosle shared an update on X.“My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme fatigue and a chest infection and we request you to respect our privacy. The treatment is ongoing and we hope all goes well and we will update you positively (sic).”
