But instead of planning a grand comeback, the conversation has merely cleared the air: there won’t be a reunion anytime soon.“Probably not, absolutely,” Joey said in an interview with Page Six. They all asked each other, “We were literally like, ‘Hey, are we seeing something happen with *NSYNC in a couple of years?’ And that was negative.”It was just a check-in, not the start of anything big. They didn’t go so far as to discuss concerts or a tour. Mostly, they were catching up: “It was literally the five of us talking, ‘how’s everybody doing?'”Fatone, who is promoting his “Boy Band Confidential” show, did not sugarcoat things. He doesn’t think they’re all interested in getting on stage together, bluntly stating, “Do I see anything happening in the next two or three years? Probably not. Vague. Is Justin Timberlake a factor?
Honestly, you can’t talk about *NSYNC without Justin Timberlake. Even his latest scandals have not gone unnoticed. E! News, in June 2024, he was arrested for DWI (driving while intoxicated) in Sag Harbor, New York, and charged with driving while intoxicated and a couple of traffic violations. His picture was everywhere, and his comment to the police, “This is going to ruin the tour,” became an instant meme. He eventually took a plea deal so the DWI is just a traffic violation instead of a criminal charge. Timberlake also tried to block the release of police body camera footage, but nearly two years later, it came out earlier this year.
