‘Dhurandhar 2’ released in theaters on March 19 and since then, the internet can’t stop talking about the movie. Although most people have loved it, others have criticized it and considered it to be a “propaganda” film. Not to mention the ‘peak detailing’ memes Aditya Dhar have gone viral, with netizens capturing small moments from the film about each character. Amid the huge amount of love, recognition and numbers for the film, Dhar has been giving due credit to all the team members on social media every day. On Friday, the director wrote a note about costume designer Smriti Chauhan. BTS shared some photos along with the details that went into making the outfits. She shared some details about Ranveer’s character and the transition from Jaskirat to Hamza and wrote, βDear Smriti, I still remember one of our first conversations when we talked about how Jaskirat starts off with a hint of color and eventually gets swallowed up by the almost black Hamza. How, somewhere, the color leaves its life quietly, without attracting attention. At that point, it was just a thought, a little crazy detail I threw at you. And you just hold on. That’s when I knew π While you were saying, “Mr. Adi, I don’t know if I’m the right person for this,” I was sitting there thinking, “This is exactly why you are.” Aditya added, “You didn’t come with baggage. You didn’t come with a fixed ‘style’ of what this world should be like. You came with honesty and that dangerous thing called ZIDD. And then you went and did what you do best, in the most ridiculous, unbelievable way, you gave it too much.Who sews around 10,000 costumes and 1,000 Pathanis for a film in the first 30 days and still worries about the details of a button on a small artist’s wristband? π Who creates over 250 looks of Hamza and still loses sleep over whether the little finger ring is emotionally correct?Who manages thousands of extras on a 1.5 year shoot and still shows up every day like it’s the first day? only you The most helpful and generous human being on the set. Always there Always giving Always smiling through the chaos (even if some days I know you wanted to kill most of us π).What you built wasn’t just clothes. You built a world. A language An identity that breathes in every frame of Dhurandhar. And the best part?” He concluded by saying, “From a space that once felt unknown, you created something so distinct that people now follow your design styles everywhere. That’s not just talent. That’s courage. That’s ZIDD. π€© I’m really, really grateful to have seen that journey up close. And I’m even more grateful, Luck, that I β€οΈ in this film! π”
