The director talked about the creative process of working on the series: “As a team, in the editing or the cinematography, we will not stop until we get the best version of something. The audience can feel it. They know if you are trying or not.”He also shared that the song ‘Ride Like the Wind’, which shows Rue driving his jeep, is the main inspiration for the third season. He added: “It’s one of the best songs of all time. I was listening to it on repeat. I loved the lyrics and I thought, This is what I want the season to feel like. It’s a good way to announce that we’re back.”

Acclaimed actor Angus Cloud, who played Fezco in the series, passed away on July 31, 2023, one year after the show’s second season premiered worldwide. His character became a fan favorite after his introduction in Season 2, and his death came as a shock to the entire fandom. While talking about Clouds, Levinson revealed that the last time he met the actor was when he and his wife introduced their newborn son. Speaking about the impact his death has had on the show, she added: “Grieving Angus was a deep season. He was someone I loved very much. And someone I fought very hard for. Look, I’ve battled addiction. I know him well. So you’re always prepared, but losing Angus really shook me up and affected me for a lot of reasons.“Cloud isn’t the only ‘Euphoria’ character to die. Earlier this year, after battling ALS, actor Eric Dane also died surrounded by his family.
