Please help by not sharing.” Vinoth also asked the audience not to spread the leaked footage and instead protect themselves by watching the film in theatres. Dhananjayan and Sibiraj urge fans to avoid piracy
Film producer and analyst Dhananjayan Govind also strongly condemned the leak via his X (Twitter) page. He said he was shocked to see the introduction and climax circulating online and described the situation as devastating for the makers. Dhananjayan asked the producers to immediately go to court and remove all the pirated links before millions watch the leaked version. Actor Sibiraj also reacted with concern, expressing that he was disturbed by the news of the leak. He mentioned that making a film requires a lot of time, money and effort; thus, he clearly asked fans not to view or share pirated material.
Censor issues and star-studded cast keep focus on ‘Jana Nayagan’
Apart from the leak controversy, there have been delays with the censorship surrounding the film. The film was earlier slated for a Pongal release, but was sent back for reconsideration following objections from the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers later resubmitted the film after making the necessary cuts, and it is currently being revised.
