BTS has started their tour as well as other promotional activities related to the release of their latest album ‘ARIRANG’. Recently, all 7 members of the group appeared on a popular YouTube show where they eat chicken wings, talk about their album and comeback, and have fun with each other.
BTS talks about ‘ARIRANG’ album
The group appeared on the latest episode of ‘First We Feast’, hosted by Sean Evans. All the members gathered to discuss their latest album, talk about what inspired them and see how spice tolerant they are through chicken wings. The group explained the idea of ’ARIRANG’ in depth, and when the host asked about incorporating a traditional song into their song ‘Body to Body’, Suga quickly explained about it. He mentioned: “To be honest, Korea, in 1988, held the Olympics that year in Seoul. There was a song called ‘Hand in Hand’. The title of their official song. So we thought of doing a 2026 version of that song, and we started from there. Then we thought of trying some other music specific to Korean culture. When we were going through the list, then we came to ‘Arirang’ for that.’
BTS explains how they selected the songs for the album
During the interview, while the band braved the high, spicy heat of chicken wings, the host also asked how they managed to finish the 14 songs on their latest album. Speaking on the topic, V mentioned that everyone had a lot of opinions about the songs and what should be included. Jungkook added, “Not to mention, we all gathered in one place and listened to all the songs, from track 1 to track 100.” He also shared that everyone would discuss more and more, and what made them the perfect addition to the album or not. The host added that there were about 120 songs that they had to choose and only 14 songs were included in the album. V also shared that they had a points sharing system to rank all the songs they listened to so they could see what went in and what didn’t.
RM also explains the concept of ‘Namjooning’
On a hilarious note, the host also asked the group’s leader to explain what “Namjooning,” a popular term in the fandom, means. As RM explained, the term itself is something fans use to describe when someone goes on a hike, goes to a museum, or does an outdoor activity.
