In the violent trailer, Bernthal is seen on fire as he sees and hears hallucinations of people talking to him. The film is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by him and Bernthal. Along with the trailer, Marvel also released the first poster of ‘Punisher: One Last Kill’.

According to Marvel, Frank Castle will face more than revenge this time around. The official synopsis states that Frank “searches for meaning beyond revenge when an unexpected force draws him back into the fray.”The last time we saw Bernthal’s Punisher, he was breaking out of a cage at the detention facility run by Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 1. Directed by Charlie Cox, it is currently in the middle of its second season, without Bernthal, who is having his own adventures in this new television event.Bernthal took on the role of Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, in Season 2 of the series ‘Daredevil’. It introduced the ultraviolent vigilante who was Charlie Cox’s Daredevil friend and foe. Bernthal will also return as Frank Castle in this year’s theatrical release of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ as he tangos with Tom Holland’s web-slinger.‘Punisher: One Last Kill’ will premiere on Disney+ on May 12, one week after the season 2 finale of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’.
