JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Answer Key: NTA is all set to release the JEE Main Session 2 answer key for the year 2026 in the coming days. This step has been taken in the context of successful conduct of computer based test from 02 to 08 April 2026.A total of more than 11 lakh students appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. As NTA released the question papers on 09 April 2026, candidates are expecting the provisional answer key release on 11 April 2026.Examination and Participation DetailsPaper 1 – BE/B.Tech: Around 11.06 lakh candidates registered for the exam. Apart from this, around 4,229 international candidates also applied. Candidates had about 93% attendance and about 97% Aadhaar verification.Paper 2 – B.Arch. /B. Projection: Around 54,953 registrations were made by domestic candidates, while 270 international candidates appeared in the examination. The total attendance percentage was 73% and Aadhaar verification was 97%.Application Procedure and Date of Admit CardApplications are accepted between 01 February to 25 February 2026, with an additional round of applications on 12 and 13 March 2026 as per the requirements of the candidates. The admit cards were issued in two batches on 29th March 2026 and 01st April 2026.Examination management and emergency handlingNTA effectively managed the examination process through careful planning, efficient use of technology, and collaboration with government agencies at the national and state levels.For international candidates facing problems due to barriers in some Middle East countries, assistance was provided to facilitate exam rescheduling and change of venue, thanks to Indian missions abroad.As there was a power outage on 05 April 2026, the Riyadh Center exams were rescheduled and held on 06 and 08 April 2026, while the exams were held in Manipur regardless of internet restrictions, and the timings were coordinated with CBSE to avoid clashing with Class XII exams.Exam and Result ScheduleQuestion papers of all shifts were made publicly available on 09 April 2026.The Provisional Answer Key for Paper 1 is expected to be released on 11th April 2026 along with recorded answers. The challenge window will remain open for a period at a fee of Rs 200 per question.
