The film is being widely discussed not only across India but also internationally, breaking several box office records both nationally and globally. Ranveer plays Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy who infiltrates Lyari, Pakistan, assuming the identity of Hamza Ali Mazhari and gets mixed up in the underworld of gangsters. His performance in ‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel has been critically acclaimed. While Ranveer is receiving accolades for his performance and some are calling it his career best, the actor-turned-filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap He spoke about the actor’s dedication. Anurag revealed that it is not just for ‘Dhurandhar’ but Ranveer has always been very passionate and dedicated towards his profession since the beginning of his career. The actor recalled what he did during the filming of ‘Lootera’. Anurag, who was one of the film’s producers and wrote the dialogues, said in a chat with Miss Malini, “We are hearing stories about Dhurandhar and him and how Arjun Rampal hurt and hurt each other. So how far did they go to get the role and the movie made amazing numbers right? But Ranveer Singh, in his second film ‘Lootera’, when they shoot the climax and to feel that right feeling, without telling anyone took a clip and cut himself in the stomach.
