Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan delivered an emotional and engaging speech at the pre-release event of ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, revealing how actor SJ Suryah played a major role in shaping her journey. It is a film directed by ‘LIK’ Vignesh Shivanprotagonist Pradeep Ranganathan. Starring SJ Suryah, Krithi Shetty, Yogi Babuand Seeman. The film is slated to release on April 10, with cinematography and music composed by Ravi Varman Anirudh Ravichander.
Pradeep Ranganathan recalls his journey as a fan of Vignesh Shivan
In his speech, Pradeep spoke of his admiration for director Vignesh Shivan from his college days. As reported by The Hindu, he shared a personal memory that connected him to the filmmaker’s work. “When I was in college, I watched ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ with my ex-girlfriend. Since then, I became a big fan of Vignesh Shivan sir,” he said with a smile. Pradeep added that he was surprised when the director approached him for ‘LIK’.He explained that he always wanted to make a futuristic film one day. “I had this dream of directing a futuristic film. When he told me that it was a story based on the future, I immediately felt excited. In India, there are very few films based on the future,” he said. According to him, once he heard the whole story, he was sure that he wanted to make the film.
Anirudh’s music and team collaboration makes the actor emotional
Pradeep Ranganathan also spoke about his happiness of working with composer Anirudh Ravichander. He admitted that collaborating with the star musician had always been one of his wishes. “When I was told that Anirudh was composing music, my happiness went to another level,” he said. “Everybody in India wants to work with him. I’m an Indian too, so I had that dream too. Now it’s come true.” He thanked the team and said he enjoyed working with everyone on the project. Praising Anirudh, she added, “We all know about his talent, but I found him to be a very good human being. I always find people with a good heart very nice.”

After graduating from college, he revealed that he once tried to join SJ Suryah as an assistant director. “I went to his office and handed him my resume. They told me to leave, but I didn’t. I sat on the steps outside,” he recalled. Pradeep said that moment stayed with him and motivated him to work hard. Today, sharing the screen with SJ Suryah is special for her. He also stated that the film has great entertainment value and expressed hope that it will connect with the audience at the box office. “Working with Mr. SJ Suryah now feels like a full-circle moment,” he said, adding that the experience was life-changing.
