Film maker Anurag Kashyap He has heaped praises on the actor Mrunal Thakursaying that he is one of the most authentic actors in Hindi cinema today. In a candid interview, the 53-year-old director said that Thakur constantly underestimates his talent and his ability to speak from his eyes sets him apart from most actors working in the industry.

Speaking to India Today, Anurag Kashyap did not hold back his admiration for the actor, saying that what makes him special is not conventional technique, but an inner emotional connection that very few have. She said: “He really underestimates himself. He doesn’t know what a good actor he is. He’s a very good actor.”He honed in on what makes his approach distinctive, contrasting it with more typical acting styles. Kashyap added, “Actors, you know; they act with their hands, their eyes, all of that. But they feel things, and they come back through their eyes. If you see any random picture of her in any film, you generally know exactly what she’s feeling; it’s all in her eyes. I have that connection with myself, very few actors have.“
Anurag Kashyap hints at a future collaboration
In the same interaction, the director also revealed that he has a role in mind for Thakur in a future project that will let him break free from his usual on-screen image.“What a crazy thing I have in mind for him. He’s been wanting to let loose and abuse in a movie for a long time, so whoever wants to abuse, can do it in my movie.”
