As ‘Bridgerton’ season 5 will center on the strange love of Francesca and Michaela Stirling, the show is expanding its cast with some new members. Tega Alexander, Jacqueline Boatswain and Gemma Knight Jones have joined the cast of the regency-era romantic drama. They are currently filming in London.
About the new cast members and their roles
‘The Sandman’ actor Tega Alexander will play Christopher Anderson, who “could give Bridgerton bachelors a run for their money as a Regency-era Casanova. However, behind his brash facade, there’s an undercurrent of self-doubt that threatens to unravel him. Lord Anderson’s son will leave his mark on society, one way or another…”‘Carnival Row’ actress Jacqueline Boatswain has been cast as Helen Stirling. According to the character description, “She is Michaela’s mother and the source of her spirit. Like any mother, she wants to guide and occasionally push her daughter through the London social season, with equal measures of vivacity and tough love.”‘Mobland’ actress Gemma Knight Jones will join ‘Bridgerton’ season 5 as Lady Elizabeth Ashworth, “Michaela’s old friend, her confidante and guide around London.” According to Netflix, “Underneath Elizabeth’s playful charm lies a realist wise to society’s unspoken rules.”
