Film maker Ram Gopal Varma He explains his views on adult film stars, recalling his interactions with the actors sunny leone and Mia Malkovawhile pushing back against the stereotypes surrounding their profession.In a recent interview with Dostcast, RGV said that while he doesn’t generalize, his personal experiences with some adult film stars have left him impressed with their “grace” and “dignity”.
He recalls Sunny Leone’s ‘decent’ response
The filmmaker shared an anecdote about Sunny Leone, revealing that he once tried to provoke her into criticizing a producer with whom she allegedly had a bad experience.“I remember once when I was talking to Sunny Leone, I heard that she had a bad experience with a certain producer. So I tried to encourage him to say a spell about that producer,” he said.However, Sunny chose to respond in moderation. “He said, ‘I wish I could say it wasn’t a pleasant experience.’ I’ve never heard a more dignified response than that,” Varma added.Varma emphasized that he does not believe in judging people by their life choices or profession.“I’m against judging what kind of lifestyle you want to have,” she said, adding that people often have preconceived notions about adult film actors that don’t reflect reality.
Mia opens up about working with Malkova
Sharing her experience of working with Mia Malkova, Varma described her as someone who completely defies the common stereotypes associated with the industry.“When I was working with Mia Malkova, I never saw a more disciplined person than her. She sleeps at 9:00 p.m., she doesn’t drink, she doesn’t smoke, she doesn’t take drugs and she reads books all the time,” he said.He notes that this lifestyle is the “excessive opposite” of what many assume about mature movie stars, who are often seen as overconsumed.
“He needs another mental strength”
Varma also spoke about the distinction between prostitution and acting in adult films, suggesting that the latter requires a special level of mental resilience.“A prostitute is still doing something in the dark, no one knows about it. But doing it openly in front of the camera for the world to see requires a very different kind of willpower,” he explained.
In dedicating it to his book Black Tori
The filmmaker also mentioned why he referenced and dedicated his book Guns and Thighs to adult film star Tori Black.“At the time, it was among the top names and it was on my mind. That’s quite the reason,” he said, adding that the book was written more than a decade ago.
