The buzz surrounding India’s Got Latent has intensified with a veteran cast Mukesh Khanna Launching a scathing attack on comedian Samay Raina in a strong post on social media.Taking to Instagram, Mukesh Khanna shared a fiery note in Hindi criticizing Samay’s style of comedy and accusing him of insulting the iconic superhero Shaktimaan.His post read, “Kutte ki dum tedhi rehti hai. Use lakh sheeshiyon mein rakho. Bahar nikaalo. Phir tedhi ki tedhi!! Samay Raina ki bhi ek dum hai. Kitna bhi maaro, seedha karo, woh wapas tedhi ho jaati hai. Kyonki woh seedha hai ki tedhi ki tedhi saada. jalaya hua, pakaya hua.”He further added, “Poore desh ne lataada, maara. Phir aa gaya besharmon ki tarah. Aur maar khaane. Ab ek hi cheez baaki hai. Uska munh kaala kar gadhe par bitha kar desh bhar ke shehron mein, galiyon mein uski parade karni chahiye. Jahan bachche ustarki usko et maarein super. Shaktimaan ka apmaan kiya hai!!!”
Samay Raina breaks her silence in Still Alive
Even as the criticism grew, Samay Raina addressed the controversy in her latest special Still Alive, where she defended her brand of humor and took digs at critics, including Mukesh Khanna.Recalling the reaction, Samay said, “Sab aa gaye the khane hamko – politician, celebrities, Sunil Pal,” adding that he was advised to learn from Kapil Sharma.He also took digs at Sunil Pal and B Praak, including Mukesh Khanna, saying “Shaktiman aa gaya tha yaar. Shaktiman se kaise ladenge”, alleging that some were trying to gain prominence during the debate.He further stated, “India is not a platform to showcase your art.”
Samay Raina addresses Ranveer Allahbadia’s comments
Talking about the controversy, Samay said that an FIR has been lodged against Ranveer Allahbadia for leaving him out of the set picture. He jokingly called him “the monk who sold my Ferrari”, accusing him of misleading the show.“Hum Kashmiri cross fire me hi marte hain… It broke me like anything,” he said, referring to the decision to pull the show off in India. He also revealed that he received support from Pakistan after the show was pulled. Describing India’s Got Latent as raw and largely unscripted, he admitted, “Bhot gandi gandi baatein keh dete the”, while adding that he tried to “play it safe” through edits and post-shoot interactions.Wrapping up his special, Samay said he couldn’t have asked for a better ending to India’s Got Latent Season 1, and hinted that Season 2 might be released on YouTube soon.
