Organizers clarified that the postponement was done out of concern for the safety of athletes, officials and fans.“In the interest of the safety of the players and spectators, it has now been decided to postpone the meeting. If conditions permit, it will now be held on June 19,” he said in a statement quoted by AFP.Along with the date change, the venue has also been shifted from Qatar Sports Club to Khalifa International Stadium. The move is aimed at dealing with extreme weather conditions, as the stadium is equipped with temperature control technology and has previously hosted major international events such as the World Athletics Championships and FIFA World Cup matches.
