The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has revised the schedule for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination scheduled for May 2026. This decision has been taken due to unavoidable reasons, as stated in an official notification.As per the revised notification, the CA Intermediate exams will now start from May 5, 2026 instead of the earlier date of May 3, 2026. The examinations will be conducted in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) at centers across India and abroad.
Revised CA Intermediate May 2026 Exam Schedule
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the revised schedule for CA Intermediate May 2026 exams. The examinations will be conducted as per the existing syllabus notified under Regulation 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.Group I exams will be held on May 5, May 7 and May 9, 2026, while Group II exams will be held on May 11, May 13 and May 15, 2026. All exams will be held in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM (IST).
No change in foundation, final exams.
ICAI has clarified that the rescheduling applies only to the intermediate examination. Schedule of other exams including:
- CA Foundation
- CA Final
- Post Qualification Course (PQC – INTT AT)
As per the earlier notification issued on 12th December 2025, there will be no change.Candidates appearing for the CA Intermediate May 2026 exams are advised to check the ICAI official website regularly for further updates and announcements.
