At the trailer launch event on Monday, the pair talked about working together after a long time, despite sharing a good bond with each other off-screen.

Tabu reveals that Akshay Kumar used to pick up on his bike in his early days

Talking about their collaboration, IANS quoted Akshay Kumar as saying, “This was the right film for both of us. So far we couldn’t get the film because he was busy at his place, I was busy at my place and Priyan sir was busy somewhere else. So now you have a chance. But now I will ask you Tabu ji and Priyan sir so you won’t have any complaints.”Khiladi Kumar took a trip down memory lane and found out that he and Tabu have been dating each other for over 39 years.He said, “He is a very close and old friend. I have been in this industry for about 35 years. But I have known Tabu for 38, 39 years. Tabu and I used to go to the dance academy together to dance. Very few people know this.”Tabu quickly said, “Yes, he used to take me on the bike.”According to the Hindustan Times report, he also said, “It’s the same; he still wakes up at 4 a.m. and insists on running at 5 a.m. He still says, ‘Don’t eat this or that.’ That hasn’t changed at all.”For the uninitiated, Akshay Kumar and Tabu last shared the screen in Priyadarshan’s cult film ‘Hera Pheri’. It was released in 2000.
