TN SSLC Result 2026: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, is all set to announce the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 Results 2026 soon. The board exams, which began on March 10 and ended on April 6, 2026, were conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode at centers across the state. With more than nine lakh students expected to attend, anticipation is building among students, parents and teachers alike.The SSLC exams of 2026 were following a structured time table. These subjects include Tamil and other languages which were taken on March 11. English on March 16; Mathematics on March 25; Science on March 30; Social Science on 2nd April and Optional Languages on 6th April from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm.

Looking at the 2025 results, more than 8.71 lakh students appeared for the SSLC examinations, with 8,17,261 passing, a pass ratio of 93.8 percent, an improvement of 2.3 percentage points over the previous year. Sivagangai district bagged the top position in the pass percentage category by securing 98.31 percent. Apart from this, 4,917 schools achieved 100 percent pass. Science became the most popular subject among students who received Centum.Females dominated their male counterparts in terms of performance in all subjects. According to the 2025 results, the pass rate for girls was much higher at 95.88 percent, while the pass rate for boys was only 91.74 percent. The same situation was observed in mathematics and English where girls scored two percentage points higher than boys. At the district level, it is noteworthy that Trichy and Kanyakumari were the districts with the highest gender gap, at more than three percentage points.
