Without clearing the process, his participation in the league is uncertain.
Hasringa is recovering from a hamstring injury.According to a Cricbuzz report, Hasaringa recently had a batting session at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo but did not bowl. He has been out for almost two months with a torn left hamstring. He last played in Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup opener against Ireland on February 8.“We don’t have any concrete update on Wanandu Hasringa,” a source was quoted as saying by Kirkbuzz. The team is now mulling over the Sri Lankan spinner’s replacement options.Players available in the replacement pool include Mujeebur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi, Liam Dawson and Rehan Ahmed.Hasaringa’s absence also comes amid fears among IPL franchises of overseas players not being included after picking at base price.
