Bollywood star Salman Khan He might be waiting for the release of his war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, but the actor seems all set to move on to his next big venture.
Salman Khan will start shooting on April 18
Salman is said to start working on his next film next weekend. Khan as per the latest reports announced the untitled action drama to be backed and directed by producer Dil Raju. Vamshi Paidipally last week, the project will now begin on April 18 in Mumbai, according to Variety India.Currently titled ‘SVC63’, the film will go on floors next Saturday with the first shooting schedule starting at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon. Salman is expected to start with a high-octane action sequence. The report adds that a large-scale set replicating the dense urban environment was built in the studios long before filming. The production team has planned an extensive three-month shoot across Mumbai and various locations across the nation, aiming to wrap up principal photography by August to September 2026.

While the official release date is yet to be confirmed, the makers are reportedly eyeing an Eid 2027 release.Salman’s next will be an Indian film directed by an ensemble cast Nayanthara. The actor made his Hindi debut in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Jawan’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Salman, on the other hand, made his Telugu film debut in the 2022 political action thriller ‘Godfather’, opposite Chiranjeevi.The film directed by Paidipally will also star the actor Anil Kapoor and Arvind Swamy in key roles.
‘Maatrubhumi’ release date
Notably, the film will begin production before the release of Apoorva Lakhia-directed war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’. The film, which was originally slated to release on April 17, is rumored to have a later release date.
