Veteran actor Paresh Rawal is known for speaking his mind and in a recent interaction, he addressed the rising negativity on social media, urging people to be more careful about what they post on the internet. Sharing his candid attitude, he compared social media to a “puking pot”, pointing out how users express strong opinions without much thought.Speaking to PTI about the importance of maintaining positivity, she said, “I am trying to improve myself. I think social media is like a puking pot. It says what it wants to say. It shouldn’t be like that. Negativity should not be spread. You have no right to say anything about anyone.” Even if you are sure that the person is wrong, you have no right to criticize or belittle them or tarnish their image. But I’m saying all these things, and I’m listening to myself. And I have done very little.”Rawal also admitted that while online hate sometimes affects him, he makes a conscious effort to stay within bounds. “Sometimes when I get angry, I get angry. But still, I keep a boundary. I never overdo it. Social media is a good medium to spread positivity. If there is negativity, stay away from it,” he added. The actor was recently involved in an online exchange after he reacted to a post criticizing Dhurandhar. The incident began when a radio jockey shared a reel of X, featuring two people giving the film a sarcastic and humorous take. Captioning the clip, he wrote, “Hahahaha. Best review of Dhurandhar! (sic).”The post soon attracted attention, prompting a scathing response from Rawal, who replied, “Your job as a stupid journalist is assured. No one wants (sic).” Her comment quickly drew a backlash from RJ, who corrected her and fired back, “Get your facts right. I’m not a journalist. You’re just an actor, far removed from your real life art.” On the other hand, the ‘Hera Pheri’ actor also talked about ‘Dhurandhar’ review. In an interview with Jagran he talked about the film and said, “I’m super impressed with ‘Dhurandhar’. I absolutely love the film. I’m still not over it. I’ve already seen the first ‘Dhurandhar’ twice and I’ve seen ‘Dhurandhar 2’ twice as well. I’m dying to watch it again.” He further added, “The first part was entertaining, but the second ‘Dhurandhar’ is full of details that the audience will thoroughly enjoy. After watching it, you realize that it has several layers. Only when you see the film do you understand what each reference points to.’
