While her divine looks have garnered much admiration, the film’s visuals have sparked controversy, with some viewers questioning the VFX and even speculating about the use of AI.One particular moment in the teaser immediately grabbed attention online. In the scene, Rama walks through Ayodhya while showering people with flowers. However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that as the camera angle changes, an actor’s turban in the background appears to change color from blue to purple. The clip quickly went viral, with many citing it as potential evidence of AI-generated imagery.

Coming to the speculation, actor Saket Patel, who appears in the scene, took to social media to clarify the situation. “I’m Saket Patel. I’m an actor, and believe me, I’m not an AI,” he said in a video message, clarifying that the sequence was shot with real actors. He added, “People are completely convinced that I am created by AI. Two years ago I shot a real crowd, a real set, the real me and the real Ranbir Kapoor in front of me.He also revealed that the scene was shot almost two years ago, adding a candid observation about the reactions of viewers today. “In 2026, something that looks cool, people will call it fake,” he said.Amid the ongoing conversation, Hrithik Roshan came out in support of the film and its makers. In a statement shared online, he applauded filmmakers who try to push the boundaries of cinema, citing projects like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Kalki’ and ‘Baahubali’. He urged viewers to be more receptive to a variety of visual styles, suggesting that what some might label as “bad VFX” could be an unfamiliar aesthetic.He also encouraged viewers to focus on the intent behind the storytelling, rather than just judging how realistic the visuals are.Mounted on a massive budget of ₹4,000 crore, ‘Ramayana’ is among the most ambitious Indian films ever made. The cast includes Yash Ravana, Sai Pallavi Sita, Sunny Deol Hanuman and Ravie Dubey Lakshman.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first part of the film is slated to release in October 2026, with the second part expected to follow in 2027.
