Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of a written test followed by document verification. The written test will be conducted in two parts. Part A will assess Punjabi language proficiency and is qualifying in nature, candidates need to secure at least 50% marks.Part B will determine the merit and will consist of subject related questions. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Part B, and negative marking is expected to be applied.
Salary and Job Profile
Selected candidates will be posted as Excise and Taxation Inspector under Punjab Govt. Pay scale from ₹10,300 to ₹34,800, with grade pay of ₹4,200 and applicable allowances.This role includes monitoring tax compliance, preventing excise duty evasion, and assisting in revenue collection for the state.
