WBTET 2022: The interview process for candidates who qualified in the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2022 has been postponed due to the ongoing selection process, an official said on Friday. PTI.The written test for the recruitment was conducted on 11 December 2022 and the result of the written test was declared on 10 February 2023. The interview phase was expected to begin after the results.
The district wise interview schedule was announced earlier.
Later, the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) issued a notification on 12 March 2026, announcing the district-wise interview schedule. The schedule included candidates from Purulia, Bankura, Malda, Pasam Bardhaman, Birbhum and several other districts.However, in a fresh notification issued on April 1, the board announced that all scheduled interview dates have been postponed till further notice.“No official reason has been given for the postponement,” PTI Reports

Board President Gautam Pal confirmed the development on Friday.“All interview dates announced earlier have been postponed. Revised dates will be notified in due course,” Paul said. PTIHe further said that. Election Commission of India (ECI) has been informed about the interview process and new dates will be announced after discussion.“One interview date falls on April 23, which is the day of the first phase of polling in the Jangal Mahal constituency. We announced the postponement after discussions with the Election Commission,” Paul said. PTI
Schedule the first interview
As per the earlier schedule, the interviews of Prolia candidates were to be held from April 6 to April 10. Interviews for Bankura candidates were scheduled on various dates in April.Interviews for Alipur Duar and South Dinajpur candidates were scheduled in early May. This was followed by interviews for Malda, Pasam Burdhman and Birbhum in May and early June.
The candidates expressed disappointment.
Meanwhile, the candidates expressed their disappointment over the delay. Arup Dasgupta, a candidate from Dakshin Dinajpur, expressed his concern.“I was preparing for the interview after this endless wait since 2023. Are we being treated like guinea pigs?” Dasgupta said, according to PTIThe board has not announced the new dates yet. Candidates are advised to wait for the revised schedule, which will be released after discussion with the election authorities.
