Telugu horror comedy ‘Rakasa’ directed by Manasa Sharma of ‘Bench Life’ fame and with the help of actor-turned-producer. Niharika Konidela under his banner, he was released on Friday. The film starring Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika received positive to mixed reviews and had a decent opening at the box office on its first day.According to a report by Sacnilk, on Day 1, the movie collected 2.60 crores in 1,318 shows and the gross collections are 2.99 crores.
‘Rakasa’ collides with ‘Biker’
Released alongside Sharwanand’s motocross film ‘Biker’, ‘Rakasa’ seems to have had a better opening than the 2.10 crore-plus sports drama. However, it must be mentioned that Sharwanand’s film had 2,033 shows on Day 1, which is more than Niharika Konidela’s film.

Speaking of the film’s theater attendance, it had an occupancy of 37.06%, with morning screenings rising to 21.31% and evening screenings to 34.62%. There has been a slight increase in participation in the evening shows, up to 35%, reaching 37.77% during the day and night.
