In a report recently published by Deadline, the main cast of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, along with actors Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer, all had to sign the film contract if they wanted to get a salary increase for the third and final season of the beloved OTT series.In the final stages of negotiations for Season 3, the actors were told that the only way they could get an overall increase in their per-episode fee was if they signed a contract to package the film and work on it. The actress was initially paid around US$35,000 to US$40,000 per episode when the first season was released in 2022.
Some cast members did not want to do the film
Although they were not specifically named, the official report also mentioned that some of the actors from the show were allegedly reluctant to be a part of the film. However, the only reason they signed the contract was because of the salary increase.
