KVS Admission 2026: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan has set the last date for submission of online applications for Class 1 and Balvatika admissions for the academic session 2026-27 as 02 April 2026. The registration process, which started on March 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM, will close by the end of the day.Admissions to entry-level classes are being conducted through the online system entirely, while other classes will follow mixed mode based on seat availability. Officials have confirmed that documents will be strictly verified during the process to prevent discrepancies.The schedule outlines the main stages of admission.The admission schedule states that the first merit list for Balvatika will be released on April 08, followed by Class 1 on April 09. The second list will be released on April 16 and the third list on April 21.Offline registration for Class 2 and above is scheduled from April 02 to April 08. Admissions to these classes will be held between April 15 to April 20, subject to vacant seats. The last date for admission, except for Class 11, is 30 June 2026, while all processes will be completed by 31 July 2026.Eligibility criteria based on age cut-offAge eligibility is determined from 31st March 2026. For Balvatika-1, children should be between three and four years of age, while for Balvatika-2 four to five years and for Balvatika-3 five to six years of age are required. A minimum age of six years is required for admission to Class 1. Relaxation provisions apply to certain categories.The admissions process varies by class level.For Class 1 and Balvatika, the selection will be done through a lottery system, in which multiple merit lists will be issued. Applications are accepted online for these categories only.Admissions for classes 2 to 8 will be offline, provided the seats remain vacant, and form submission is required at the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya. For Class 9 and 11, admissions are subject to seat availability, Class 11 admissions are linked to Class 10 results.• Direct link to apply onlineReservation Rules and Priority CategoriesReservation is implemented as per government guidelines, with horizontal reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST, 27 percent for OBC (NCL), and 3 percent for CwSN.Priority in admissions is assigned to children of Central Government employees, followed by children of PSU and autonomous body employees, State Government employees and other applicants. Date of transfer within the last seven years is also considered.Documentation and compliance requirementsApplicants are required to submit valid documents including birth certificate, address proof, caste certificate where applicable, service certificate, and disability certificate. Officials have said that incorrect information may result in cancellation, and submission of an application does not guarantee admission.
