Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued new instructions to all. Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchisees have made it clear that further violations will not be tolerated after security protocols were breached at a team hotel. The move came after the Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Razacurrently representing Lahore Qalandars, shared on social media that he was grateful to PCB for allowing him to meet his family at the team hotel. In response, the PCB sent an official communication to all franchisees and stakeholders, stating that players and team officials are not allowed to visit family members at the team hotel without prior approval. The board has mandated that any such application be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. A source close to PCB said, “The board has made it clear that whoever wants to meet family members in a hotel, must take permission 24 hours before the expected visit of the family members.” He said the board has further clarified that it will try to arrange a suitable meeting point for the player(s) with their families at the team hotel. “The board has also made it clear that only a player’s wife, parents, brother and sister are allowed inside the players’ room, that too after getting clearance from the board 24 hours in advance,” the source added. He said that senior police officials had seriously considered the breach of security protocol by Lahore captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sikandar last Saturday night when four guests met in the latter’s room late at night. “The police officials informed the board that unless all the franchises strictly follow the security protocols, it will be impossible for them to provide a safe and secure environment for all the players and officials at the team hotel.” PCB’s security manager and head of anti-corruption have also conveyed their concerns about the breach to PSL CEO Salman Naseer.See also: DC vs LSG Live Score
